The International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) hosted its 2019 Annual Conference & Assembly Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 8-12. Percept Research was represented by Brian Mahoney, Managing Partner. The event brought together over 240 attendees.

The theme of the meeting this year was ‘Moving. Forward. Together’ and included a variety of technical presentations, accreditation training sessions, and a student case-study competition. The four-day conference was packed with sessions for faculty, deans, program managers and staff.

Sessions and panels covered topics such as ‘Optimizing Student Success through Innovative Alternative Delivery Methods,’ ‘Integrating Data-Driven Simulations and Cases into Business Education,’ ‘Creating a Culture of Feedback,’ and ‘Determining Your Faculty IQ’ among others.

The General Meeting of the Assembly session featured keynote speaker David Kasperson, Director of Speaking & Business Development for Franklin Covey’s Speed of Trust Practice. His interactive keynote session, ‘The Speed of Trust,’ addressed how trust uniquely impacts people's work and performance.

Percept Research exhibited at the conference to build awareness of its MBA Lifecycle Suite of student and alumni assessments specifically tailored to management education. These actionable surveys are designed to measure that change and reveal areas of improvement for management education programs as well as demonstrate assurance of learning and business school return on investment. These surveys can be engaged individually or all together for the longest lasting impact.

We also promoted our custom research engagements which include new program feasibility studies, in-depth interviews, admissions funnel assessments, and topical studies. Percept Research provides higher education market research and consulting for over 250 business schools worldwide and is celebrating its fifteen-year anniversary this year.

While at the conference, we also encouraged attendees to subscribe to the MBA News Digest which was founded by Dr. Rodney Alsup, a senior consultant on our team. The MBA News Digest provides a concise summary of relevant articles regarding MBA programs worldwide to meet the challenge of busy business school administrators in keeping up-to-date on the dynamic landscape of MBA programs. These articles are handpicked for relevance on a daily basis from popular press and academic journals related specifically to MBA programs (curriculum, marketing, technology, alliances, courses, specializations, etc.). We highly recommend the Digest as a must-have subscription.
