2012 GMAC MBA Leadership Conference 250x130

Brian Mahoney, Managing Partner of Percept Research, presented at the 2012 Leadership Conference from February 1-3 hosted by the Graduate Management Admission Council and MBA Roundtable in Coral Gables, Florida.  Mr. Mahoney discussed strategies on conducting pre-design market research for the launch of a new graduate management program.

With more than 140 graduate business school program directors and program-level dean attending from 100+ universities worldwide, the conference provided attendees with a unique opportunity for attendees to rethink the management of business schools.  This well-regarded annual Leadership Conference invites speakers and experts to share their knowledge and best practices.

Along with Kent Holland, Partner at Plesser Holland Associates, Mr. Mahoney co-presented during a concurrent session called Research + Press = New Program SuccessThis session focused on two keys to success with new MBA program offerings: (1) pre-design business school market research that helps distinguish a truly viable program from one that responds to a passing trend and (2) media coverage that helps spread the word during the program launch and beyond.

The presenters encouraged attendees to rethink traditional approaches -- laying out the key considerations schools must address to prepare for a successful launch of a new program or repositioning of a current program in the marketplace.  Attendees of the conference can download this presentation and other session presentations here.
