The symposium sessions were centered around insights into curricular innovation models and best practice processes being used in MBA programs worldwide so that attendees will be better equipped to manage change within their business school. Through a series of presentations and peer discussions, attendees explored best practices to curricular innovation for MBA programs.

Sarah Fisher Gardial, President of the MBA Roundtable, welcomed in-person and virtual attendees to the symposium. In addition to traditional in-person participation, the MBA Roundtable offered virtual symposium attendance for the first time this year so schools could participate without the cost of travel expenses.

During the symposium, Carleen Kerttula, Executive Director of the MBA Roundtable, presented data from the organization's Curricular Innovation Study. This MBA research initiative is designed to provide faculty and administrators survey data that will enable them to promote curricular change and innovation in their MBA programs. Designed and delivered in partnership with Percept Research, the study focuses on current trends in curricular development and the processes employed within business schools to design and deliver innovative MBA curricula. The Roundtable has published a webinar of the 2009 Curricular Innovation Study results.

Percept Research serves as the research partner to the MBA Roundtable. The MBA Roundtable serves as a catalyst for thought leadership on MBA curricular design and innovation. The Roundtable invites the participation of any program striving to provide the best possible management education for the particular market it is serving. The organization encourages many voices, as good ideas and innovations spring from many sources.
