Joy has consumer insights expertise with emphasis on qualitative methods and digital/social insights. Her rich client-side perspective is based upon experience with multinational organizations including The Clorox Company and Mary Kay, Inc. In addition, graduate training in International Relations with an emphasis on International Business (University of Texas – Dallas) with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies and Marketing Communications (University of Wisconsin – Madison) has helped her to address global business challenges and opportunities from a well-rounded perspective for her clients.
She is an innovative and visionary leader with extensive experience and proven ability to strategically plan and implement tactics leveraging agile and creative research approaches. Her scope of qualitative experience includes user experience testing, ethnographic exploration, shop-a-longs, new product development, brand image and positioning, advertising testing, package design and graphics evaluation, and online communities. Recent experiences range from large qualitative and usability projects along with multiple medium and smaller-scale qualitative and qualitative + quantitative projects.
Joy resides in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and is passionately committed to health, well-being, environmental and social causes on a local and global scale.
