Barbara Coward (Marketing Communications Consultant) and Brian Mahoney (Managing Partner) of Percept Research, attended the Executive MBA Council Southeast regional meeting. William and Mary Mason School of Business hosted over 58 attendees at the meeting from March 3-5, 2013.

The regional meeting titled, Back to the Future in Colonial Williamsburg, presented several sessions covering topics such as “Using Data for Effective Messaging”, “Work Life Balance Case Study”, “Consumer Psychology and Brand Building”, and “Leadership in the EMBA Curriculum.” During the ‘Brand Building’ session, Ms. Coward provided insights on how to optimize program communications to prospective students.

During the "EMBA Council Update" session, Michael Desiderio, Executive Director of the Executive MBA Council, presented summary metrics for the region as well a measures of professional development collected in the council’s recent director poll.
Mr. Mahoney encouraged the attendees to complete the 2013 Membership Program Survey that will start fielding in April. The annual EMBAC Membership Program Survey reveals regional and worldwide trends and helps empower the association as the voice of the Executive MBA industry. The survey also drives the online directory of EMBA programs provided by the council.
Percept Research serves as the research partner to the Executive MBA Council. The mission of Executive MBA Council is to educate, network and inform. The council both captures and disseminates valuable industry data to member schools, the media, and the corporate sector.
Percept Research also conducts higher education market research and communications consulting for over 220 business schools worldwide. Consulting engagements include new program feasibility studies, brand positioning, student lifecycle assessments, and messaging strategy.
